Timeline of the day
For those who are curious, here is how the day will go down:
For people getting there by train, you can go leave your bags at your hotel, then we’ll come and give you a ride to get to the château (a 10 minute drive). Everyone is expected to be at the château for 2:30PM.
The ceremony will start around 3PM and last about an hour. You can expect readings, speeches, vows, rituals… We will then spend the remainder of the afternoon in the château’s garden, playing Mölkky, taking pictures, and having ice cream!
The reception will start around 6:30pm, and will be followed by a barbecue. After the sunset, we will open the ball with a first dance, following which we’ll invite you to join us for some folk dancing, the chapelloise. After the dessert, the party will continue in the château’s attic, until exhaustion takes hold.
On the next morning, we will reconvene for a brunch starting at 11AM, before saying goodbye in the afternoon – or tidying up!
